“We need more money because we need to have women not having to crowdfund the treatment. We need the government to look into all that”
“We should have equal access to drugs for all stages. If you need a maintenance drug, it shouldn’t depend on whether you’re stage IV or stage III when you get diagnosed. It should be equally available to all women, and if it could improve their remission times or survival rates to give them more time with their families”
“It’s hard to diagnose early, it is diagnosed later, so we need help. We need research into prevention as well and early detection test, it is going to be on the rise – it is on the rise. I have stood up in front of all these people spoke in the parliament house and said, “Help us out, I want to see my kids grow up”.
“First off, I’d like something to do with not the people that have ovarian cancer, but that could get ovarian cancer. More help and, I think, to find some sort of screening for ovarian cancer. I think that’s very important.”
