Second opinions

It’s ok to get a second opinion.

We often hear patients say that they just weren’t feeling right and knew something was wrong.  You know your body better than anyone, if you go to your doctor and aren’t sure whether your symptoms were properly addressed, it’s ok to get a second opinion and it’s important to do so.

A second opinion might lead to early detection and more effective treatment options. Likewise, if you are diagnosed with an illness, a second opinion may give you more treatment options, access to clinical trials or just give you peace of mind.

So this is our simple message – it’s ok to get a second opinion.  You won’t offend anyone by asking for one, second opinions are pretty common, and you have every right to ask for one.
